“Sharing Jesus with Those in Recovery”
To see men become Christ-centered, set free from their addictions, and transformed into leaders.

Faith-Based Recovery Community
Step Seven is a faith-based recovery community helping men find freedom from their addictions, and teaching them the leadership skills necessary to move forward with their lives. We believe that lasting and sustainable sobriety comes from a relationship with Jesus Christ. In sharing the Gospel through individual recovery coaching, small groups, sober-living homes, and recovery church gatherings, we provide the environment necessary to break free from the bondage and slavery of addictions.
The men in our ministry come from a wide variety of backgrounds. Many of them have tried traditional recovery methods only to see themselves fail time and time again. These same men are now finding forgiveness, strength, and freedom through a growing relationship with Jesus Christ.
Step Seven’s church and small groups promote healthy fellowship and stimulate spiritual growth. These gatherings are anchored by leaders who have found freedom from their addictions by being accountable to God through an ongoing relationship with Jesus Christ. Our small groups are open to any man looking for sobriety and fellowship. Our recovery friendly church service is open to anyone who wishes to attend.
Step Seven is all about changing lives and restoring leaders to the community. When those struggling with drug and alcohol addictions come to the realization that they need help, their lives are often surrounded by negative circumstances and relationships, leaving them void of positives and accountability. Our aim is to replenish the positives and accountability through a recovery program that consists of work, worship, and the Word while surrounding them with a loving and encouraging community of maturing Christians that have walked in their shoes.

Christ-Centered Recovery Program
Step Seven’s Executive Director is a certified recovery coach who specializes in substance abuse recovery. Along with the Step Seven staff and other men who have become leaders within the ministry, he works hand in hand with the men in our Christ-centered recovery program. Together, they work toward cleaning up existing challenges from the old way of life, and taking the steps necessary to move forward into a new life of sobriety with Christ. Step Seven’s vision for every man is to see them become Christ-centered, set free from their addictions, and transformed into leaders.
Work… Having a regular job is a big deal. We want the men in our ministry to be productive members of society. Work offers them the opportunity to make progress toward life goals while providing purpose and restoring accountability, stability, and self-confidence. Men that come to Step Seven for help with their addictions are often unemployed. A key part of Step Seven’s individual recovery coaching strategy is to assist men in finding and keeping employment. We have connections with several employers in the community to bridge the gap between unemployment and a productive lifestyle.
Worship… By definition, worship is “to be devoted to and full of admiration for something or someone.” Everyone has a natural need to worship – it’s how we were created. One of the most important questions every person must answer is what or whom they will worship. Addiction is misplaced worship; addicts and alcoholics worship drugs and alcohol. Substance abuse is a failed attempt to find what can only be found in God. Through our small groups, sober-living homes, and church gatherings, Step Seven seeks to help those in recovery replace false worship with true worship. God calls us to worship Him. At Step Seven, we believe that the choices we make about our worship are the choices that will have the most profound impact on the rest of our lives.
The Word… The Bible is undeniably God's Word. At Step Seven, the Bible is the criterion for all we do. It cannot be emphasized enough just how valuable God’s Word is in the recovery process. Addicts and alcoholics need a new way of thinking, with new values, if they are ever going to find success in sobriety. Step Seven small groups and house meetings revolve around the basic principles found in the Bible. Along with our seven steps, the recovery program at Step Seven includes a twelve-week discipleship course that is designed to develop the habit of spending time in the Bible every day. The discipleship course focuses on Scripture, Step Seven’s twelve core values, and how they can be applied to one’s life in sobriety.

Step Seven Sober-Living Homes
Step Seven has three sober-living homes. By keeping the price of rent as low as possible for our residents, Step Seven aims to help reduce the stress involved with getting one’s life back in order. Our sober-living homes provide a safe and peaceful long-term living arrangement for men as they move forward as sober, Christian men. These Christ-centered homes foster healthy relationships and offer men the structure and accountability needed to accrue significant sobriety time. Men can stay as long as necessary. They are asked to contribute to the home environment and attend weekly house meetings, a weekly small group meeting, and our church gathering. The monthly rent in these homes is $800-640, with each man enjoying the privacy of their own room.
There is no drinking or drug use allowed by any guest residing in a Step Seven sober-living home. This includes prescription drug use not approved by Step Seven Senior Leadership. Any guest who is caught using will be dismissed from the home.
