OUR STEPS
Here's how it works ...
Step 1. We recognized that our lives had become a prison.
For a man is a slave to whatever has mastered him. 2 Pet. 2:19
Step 2. We considered the fact that it might be the sin (self) in our life that caused this lack of freedom.
I tell you the truth
everyone who sins is a slave to sin. John 8:34
Step 3. We considered accepting Jesus Christ as our Higher Power.
That if you confess with your mouth, Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved: For everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved. Rom. 10:9,13
Step 4. We prayerfully asked Him to take away the desire to continue in this activity that separates us from Him.
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Phil.4:6,7
Step 5. We sought through prayer, study and our small group His healing gospel truth.
Seek first His kingdom and His righteousness and all these things will be given to you as well. Matt.6:33
Step 6. We came to accept Him as our Lord and Savior.
Yet for us there is but one God, the Father, from whom all things came and for whom we live; and there is but one Lord, Jesus Christ, through whom all things came and through whom we live. 1 Cor. 8:6
Step 7. We shared this message.
Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age. Matt 28:19,20
What makes Step Seven different from other treatment
programs ...

Conventional Alcohol and Drug Treatment Doesn't Work!
- Conventional alcohol rehab and drug rehab centers do not work for the majority and can be harmful to an alcoholic or drug addict.
- People have a better chance of recovering without being exposed to conventional alcoholism and drug treatment programs.
Twelve Step Programs Don't Work!
- 45% of the people who attend Alcoholics Anonymous meetings never return after their first meeting.
- 95% never return after the first year.
- Based on Alcoholics Anonymous World Services' own statistics Alcoholics Anonymous has only 5% retention rate.
- Those who leave A.A. look elsewhere, such as conventional alcohol rehabs and drug treatments for solutions, but 97% of conventional rehab centers are 12 step or A.A. based, thus individuals essentially rejoin A.A.
Alcoholism and Drug Addiction are not Diseases!
- Only flawed studies show that the disease concept of alcoholism and drug addiction are fact.
- Independent studies have proven repeatedly that alcoholism and drug addiction are not diseases and treating them as such is detrimental.
- Drinking and drugging are learned behaviors and a choice!
